TWO HEARTS

Some chocolates, a teddy bear.
Perhaps a rose or two.
Something small, but nice, to prove again,
He always thinks of only you.

And later in the evening,
You'll both go out to dine.
Your favorite food, a cozy place,
A sweet dessert, a glass of wine.

It's not quite all that you deserve
He tells himself with pride.
For walking down life's road with him,
So bravely by his side.

He wishes he could do much more,
But hopes you'll understand.
And remember...he has loved you so,
Since first he held your hand.

For there's nothing quite so precious
After all is said and done,
As a tender love that's grown so strong;
And your two hearts beat as one.
