FREEDOM’S DAY

Today is our Independence day, 
A day to pause, to reflect and to recall.
To give thanks that we are Americans,
And for our Freedom... the greatest gift of all.

A day to ponder those rights we hold so dear:
Freedom to worship the God we choose;
Freedom to speak, to meet, to vote, to read;
A precious prize that we must never lose.

A day to salute Our Grand Old Flag;
May it forever be a symbol of Liberty.
And to those who see Freedom as a hopeless dream
Let it be a beacon of hope and prosperity.

A day to remember that Freedom is never free, 
To remember the countless battles on foreign shore,
Where so many of our sons and fathers fell,
That we might have our Freedoms evermore.
